Positions within The PLACE Young People's Company involve contact with vulnerable groups. Due to the nature of our work posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and all subsequent amendments (England and Wales). For these posts you are not entitled to withhold information about police cautions, bind-overs, or any criminal convictions that would otherwise have been considered "spent" under the Act.
All posts within The PLACE Young People's Company are subject to Enhanced DBS checks so that any criminal background is disclosed to the organisation. We cannot employ someone without this check. If you are successful in applying for this post we will ask the DBS for a disclosure.
As part of our Safer Recruitment and interview process you will be asked about any criminal background or convictions during recruitment.
All Data submitted is kept in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 and we will only use the information given on this form to determine your suitability for this post. We will destroy application forms of any unsuccessful candidates within 6 months.
